Thanks In Advance

Fri 16/8/13- It is 4:25 in the morning and today we are celebrating sixteen years; what calls my attention this morning is a phrase that I would like to use more often, “Thanks In Advance”. I would like to always remember to Thank the Most High for his intervention in our affairs and always thanks in advance to our Ancestors.
Thanks In Advance for the moments that we will share together. Today in so many words is a new day, and for the most part it will always be a unique moment. The past sixteen years has brought us to this moment. Sixteen years ago, I had nowhere to go, I had no idea about our history and I was feeling lost. I had nothing to be thankful for, never the less, to thank in advance.
On the other hand I remember being at Mariano’s Gotay’s home, on the 24th December 2012 for an offering to the ancestors, it is hard to forget because it was the first time I ever had my feet washed by another man. Another thing that I will never forget is the word “Seremein” which means Thanks in the Garifuna language.
Therefore Thanks in advance does not guarantee that everything is going to be alright.  Thanks in advance allow you to see both sides of the situation. Thanks in advance allow you to take the bitter with the sweet. In this case I want to thank you in advance for being there.
