For our Children, For our Future

Day-11-Sat.17/2/18-It is now 11:07 in the morning and just got through sharing some of the events that unfolded in front of ours during the past twenty four hours. We were able to share with our readers on Facebook the Agenda of the meeting we had at the capital yesterday. We were back at CASA ARIANA on Avenida Reforma Zona -9 for a follow-up meeting regarding the National Census of Guatemala, 2018.

On the other hand, more or less half an hour ago we were able to share with our reader, a copy of the information that was documented during the meeting that took place at the same place on the 19th January 2018. It is also our duty in this case to inform our readers that the following meeting with the same institution is already scheduled for the 16th March 2018.

We would like to inform our readers that our role is waiting for us. A role to participate in a decision making process that is now directly linked with the future of our grandchildren and their children.

Day-14-Tues.20/2/18-It is now 6:20 in the morning and have been thinking about some of the events that unfolded in front of our eyes yesterday, to give the our readers an idea, it was thirty eight years ago, since the sole of our feet came in contact with the soil of a land that has nurtured emigrants since the Pope was an altar boy. Today here we are thirty eight years later thinking about some of the events that unfolded in front of our eyes yesterday between our journey to Gangadiwali and back to La Buga. Between our journey to Gangadiwali yesterday and the message that we just got through reading from Madiba through Long Walk to Freedom has brought us to a point and time like this. The role of a father in a time like this looks very much like it was when Madiba was still a little boy.

Another person that we would like to mention in a time like this is Ma Chana, she was born on the 21st February 1921 therefore Madiba was then three years old. Ma Chana was the first person to who nurtured a belief that we stand by today. We would like to share with our readers and the world at large that we are not alone. The term “We” in this case is collective, it is not singular, it is plural. It is also about the mind, body and soul; it includes the seen and unseen.

Garifunareality- our blog was created on the 21st Feb 2010, to be honest with our reader at this moment we do not have exact information about the amount of messages we have shared with the world at large for the past seven years.

Tomorrow on the other hand, will be about the future, but between now and then lies a gray area that does not reveal itself ahead of time.

Day-15-Wed.21/2/18-It is now 4:24 in the morning and have been waiting for this moment and time for us to do something together for the first time in the name of the common good, the words of Madiba has been ringing in our hears about yearning for peace on earth. Madiba said that everybody in the world is looking for peace. He also says that the first change should begin from within, if we want to live in a society where equal opportunities should prevail then we have to take the first step.

To begin with, together we can all give thanks and praise to the Most High along with the Spirits of the Trouble Makers for their interventions in our affairs. We would like to thank each and every one of you for taking the time to join us on a spiritual journey which we believe is going to continue.

The next step for us is to take necessary actions and socialize the changes that are unfolding in front of our eyes at the Municipality in La Buga Guatemala. We would like to inform our readers and the world that we, Garifuna Nation in Guatemala would like to open the doors of the Municipality of Livingston Izabal, Guatemala to the public

Today garifunareality our blog is celebrating eight years of wonders; it was on the 21st February 2010 that Sister Michelle Forbes brought us to the land of wonders and it continues today. Today La Buga is a Wonderful Place, where we would like our grandchildren and their children to continue enjoying the wonders of La Buga.
